雙城美式餐廳 (Uptowner)

We ordered the set, just a little upset the waitress never reminded us of the big portion. The harsh brown is not the typical one we have in SIN. It is Rosti, not to my liking as there is a milky smell and not crispy enough. The rest were good, the sandwiches were great. Pancakes were huge, and tasted good. Suggest to order one set to share with add-on.

薯餅為什麼說一定要點，因為他們是用馬鈴薯一絲一絲的再壓成一整片煎出來的，跟冷凍那種吃起來差了十萬八千里遠，也是為何這麼好吃的原因！

Ordered some meals and coffee for breakfast.

Toast with hashbrown and eggs

Pan cakes
Ham sandwich with fries
Latte Coffee.

The coffee is good and I love the sandwich and.

The Toast is a bit over toasted, but the sunny sides up eggs are very well done.

The Hashbown turned out to be Potato Rosti.

The Pan cakes are very nice too.

The serving for each meal is very big.

It is a delightful brunch spot that offers generous portions and a cosy atmosphere. If you plan to dine here, I highly recommend sharing your meal, as the portions are substantial. One of the standout items on the menu is their fluffy and delicious pancakes, perfect for satisfying your morning cravings. The breakfast options at Uptowner Taichung come with a choice of egg styles, allowing you to customise your meal. The variety of egg choices ensures that there's something for everyone. Additionally, you can opt for ham or bacon to accompany your meal, adding a savoury twist to your breakfast. While the egg benedict is well-prepared and likely to please your taste buds, the only downside seems to be the "hashbrown" (or rosti) that comes with it. Some might find it a tad too oily for their liking. Nevertheless, the overall dining experience at Uptowner Taichung is worth a visit, especially if you appreciate fluffy pancakes and a hearty breakfast that can easily be shared among a group of friends or family.

Burger was ok. Noisy environment and mediocre service, albeit friendly. As Europeans, after 2 weeks in Taiwan, we just had to sin and eat a burger. Definitely better at everything than mc stupid or whatever. However, not justified for the price. For sinning ok, if you like fat, see Americans in Taiwan, you will enjoy yourself here.

I have been here about 4 times now and the atmosphere and food is very good every time. The first time I went there I ordered the basic burger with cheddar cheese and got them with tater tots (310ntd). The burger was juicy and delicious and the tater tots were a little oily but tasted good. I later got the banana pancakes (160ntd) and I got an iced latte (0.90ntd). They didn’t have real maple syrup which was a shame but the pancakes were pretty good. I also really like the Bloody Mary drink options that they have there. The one called the Bloody Boomer (230ntd) was almost like a meal. It tasted fresh and strong and it was wonderfully presented! I also tried their patty melt (370ntd) with French fries and it was fantastic. American Diner vibes right here!

餐點其實還好，但這不是什麼重點，如果營業是到10: 00，9: 30二樓要打掃，是否定位八點的，應該在一樓，感覺服務人員很新，當天流程很亂，香腸肉餅也煎焦，反應有換新的，這些都還好，重點是我們還在吃的餐點，服務人員直接問我們還要不要，很尷尬，最後我們人都在，是差不多要走，收杯子不止收空的，還在喝的飲料也收，重點是還打翻，幸好朋友衣服沒噴到，有這麼想打烊，真的不要收八點的客人

漢堡好吃，薯餅是馬鈴薯刨絲做的再現煎，也很好吃。三明治的吐司烤很乾，吃起來沒特色。薯條也很細較沒口感。由於東西都是現點現做的，用餐時間需要等比較久，價位也偏高，漢堡大約都是300多左右，三明治也是280-300 多，沒有附餐可樂或飲品，因此一個人均消會在400元。但份量很足夠，也算好吃的。電視有很多台播放不同的體育頻道，戶外跟室內空間無隔開所以都聞得到戶外菸味。來第二次，第一次來的感覺不錯但第二次的服務員工走臭臉路線

這間美式餐廳早午餐位於三角窗，機車蠻好停的但開車來要碰運氣，早上七點就開始營業了，對於早上剛下班的人是一大福音。
室內吧台有座位，騎樓下也有位子，這次我們選擇坐室外～餐點有很多選擇琳瑯滿目，但由於我們才剛下班所以只有點簡單基本的吃吃看～
因為介紹知道老闆是外國人，剛好我又愛吃鬆餅，於是點了美式鬆餅加混合莓果和檸檬汁，而我朋友點撒沙拉跟柳橙汁。我的美式鬆餅鬆軟好吃加上微酸的苺果別有一番風味，旁邊有再附奶油，如果想多種口味也可嘗試，但加價要45元覺得有點小貴…朋友的沙拉份量滿足夠的，而且培根煎的酥酥脆脆一點也不油很推！但我們一直認為果汁這樣太貴了，小小一杯要價85，下次去不會點～
至於服務態度可能是因為不收服務費所以態度沒有很好，也有可能是太早了，所以問話都冷冷的回應，覺得不像有些文章寫的服務人員都很熱情，一顆星扣的是服務態度！

晚吧台胖眼鏡女生的要去可樂續杯，拿到櫃台一副態度很差的說只能加同類型的可樂，你家可樂不就是無糖有糖跟櫻桃可樂嗎？沒說誰知道不能喝不一樣的可樂，然後過了一下子二樓沒人了又開始上來關電視關冷氣趕人？唯獨只有早班2樓的服務生態度好，其他的到底在跩三小！欠你的？

雖有告知人數較多需等待約30分鐘, 也耐心等待, 但等了將近一小時, 並看到同樓層比我們晚到的其他桌們菜都上齊了, 這樣不對吧?
身為老顧客第一次遇到這樣的情況, 十分不解, 體諒人員忙錄, 但明顯漏單且態度不佳, 覺得十分可惜這裡的美味

Just my opinion, I hang out with my family today. At the beginning, I really have high expectation with the restaurant, however, I think I am wrong. It tastes so terrible. And also like overburnt fries too. I definitely won't come next time.

Casual vibe, friendly service, yummy food.
Nice corner location with outdoor seating, across the street from a small park. Underground carpark nearby.

感覺員工訓練不足
今日分別在不同時間打了兩通電話到店裡
給的答案卻不同
1. 今明兩日 感恩節 不能預約 只能現場候位
2. 今天二樓有開放座位 不用預約
到了現場以後，第一句話問我有沒有預約？
我回：但我今日打來 你說不能預約不是嗎？
結果 員工互視 一時講不出話來
最後竟然跟我說：因為是感恩節 所以只能提前預約 請問你是什麼時候打電話來的
我說：下午打了兩通 而且回覆都不同 結果我現在來到現場 你們話又說的不太一樣

而且重點是 現場去了以後 店內客人很少 空桌一堆 跟我說預約客滿 但我過了一個小時後再經過店門外 一樣空桌一堆 實在不知道所謂的預約客滿的那些客人是什麼情形

如果嫌業績太高 不想接待客人 可以直說

一直都很喜歡雙城美式餐廳，店內很舒適座位空間寬敞，戶外座位也很棒，每次帶毛小孩出門都會坐在外面。
每次來我都點：
美式蛋捲-豚肉三重奏
香草奶昔
我超級喜歡他們的蛋餅系列，以及薯餅，蛋餅一份吃起來很有飽足感，香草奶昔偶爾喝超級療癒️
之後有空還會常常來吃

來吃過這麼多次，沒遇過店員服務態度這麼差的（9/29 中午的女服務生）
內用區位子原本就不多了，
（旁邊那組客人在我們前面剛坐下而已，坐在吧台區的正中央，只剩左右兩邊各一的位子）
請店員幫我們2人安排一下可以坐在相鄰的座位，竟然回說：「蛤？你們要自己去跟其他客人講」這女店員講完話還轉身搖頭走了？！
請問一下請店員安排座位有什麼問題？很困難嗎？
是不是餐廳的生意越來越不好了，店員素質也都沒在篩選的

在街對面以電話詢問四人用餐，有無空位，電話中說有，我們下車走到對面（不到一分鐘），告知一樓瘦高女服務生，我們四人用餐。結果她要求我們先掃QR code, 掃完以後告訴我們，現在沒位置了，因為剛好有人進來用餐，我們就在不到十公尺的對面剛下車，也沒看到剛有人進來用餐啊？

老闆在的時候味道跟在美國本土吃的幾乎一樣，但是老闆不在時會有些微跑掉，服務態度有非常大的進步空間特別是對台灣人，室外座位沒有空調夏天吃比較熱一點，汽水可以續杯。
整體來說份量很大，價格中等，適合小聚。

我算是這間的常客
在你們店還沒搬遷，還在華美西街的時候我就已經很常去光顧了。
2021/9/29本來很開心的要去吃雙城
因為疫情關係店內採隔間位子坐法，裡面的位子剩四位。
(當時整間店只有我們四位客人)
在我們前腳進去了兩位客人剛好坐在四個位子的正中間（第二跟第三位）。
而我跟我女朋友只能分很開的坐在第一跟第四的位子。
我禮貌的問店員能不能讓前腳那兩位客人娜一下座位改坐第一跟第二位，好讓我跟我女朋友能夠坐在相鄰的位子。
結果店員卻回答：「你自己去跟他們說…. 」
我就在想帶位這件事不是店員應該要做的嗎？！
怎麼搞的要客人自己去跟客人溝通？
就算不想幫我們處理位子的問題，也不需要以這種語氣來回應我們吧？！
真心覺得2021/9/29那位店員的基本教育訓練需要再加強！（其他的店員都非常有禮貌且專業）

THE BEST diner food I’ve had in Taiwan. We ordered a several single items for variety were more than pleased to have visited here over a fancy night out. Great hashbrowns (old school real ones). Reuben sandwich was simple, crisp, and delicious. The single pancake was massive, reasonably priced, and again, simple and delicious. Sausage patty was delightfully flavorful. Bloody Mary’s… I don’t love them but ended up stealing my bf’s and he had to get another one!
