Arashi Braised Minced Pork / 嵐肉燥專賣店第二市場美食｜台中中區必吃小吃｜梅花肉飯｜肉燥丸仔飯

One of the best braised pork rice I had in Taiwan! This shop is quite near the back entrance of Taichung Second Market and couldnt be missed. Quite long queue with the option to take out, but they have a system for you to collect a number to wait for your seat to dine in, hence freeing you up to shop elsewhere while waiting. I waited around 20 mins on a Sunday morning at 11am for a table for 5.

Portion for the rice and noodles were decent and small-ish, but that is quite normal in Taiwan. Great to share and hop around to eat more. Tried the minced pork noodles with a chicken roll (意面+鸡卷), meatball rice (肉丸仔饭), minced pork rice (肉燥饭) as well as sliced pork rice (梅花肉饭). My favourite were the sliced pork rice and the minced pork rice. The sliced pork were tender and nicely marinated. The minced pork also have a nice ratio of pork and fat, which melts in your mouth. Love it! The meatballs, however, were abit dry and bland for me. The noodles were also dry and slightly disappointing.

For the drier dishes, what saved them were their delicious houseblend plum (?) sauce. Not sure whats in them but they were great and savoury with a nice plum flavour which is fragrant and not too overwhelming. They sell them on the side and its a great addition to the braised pork rice as well.

Service is quite fast and ordering was easy with a check list to fill in. As the queue were getting longer, they do expect you to order quickly and provide concise replies to any questions, all nice and polite. Overall, no complaints and would absolutely go back for their braised minced pork rice!

112/10/15來用餐，內用排隊早一點大概半小時可以進去，中途有看到老闆因為熟人來而不顧其他排隊的顧客叫號讓他們先，餐點是兩份意麵配一份綜合湯，意麵的部分，肉燥偏瘦且甜，綜合湯有四顆餛飩、兩塊菜頭、一條蝦捲及兩顆魚丸，魚丸裡頭有香菇，整體而言只有湯是讓我滿意的，本身不怎麼挑嘴但覺得該店真的一嚐即可，不必特別排隊享用。

肉燥飯和乾意麵都好好吃，尤其是乾麵加上秘製醬後風味大幅提升，綜合湯更是一次滿足花心的胃！相逢恨晚，台中旅行必吃的店又多一家！希望店家能出梅花肉飯和肉燥丸子飯三拚，想點梅花肉飯，但花心胃又貪心食量又小，實在吃不下了，只能帶著遺憾離開！

Super good dry egg noodles with bean sprouts and minced braised pork mixture on top, and also the rice with braided pork and meatballs was delicious! Super fast service but only thing is I wish serving sizes were a big bigger for how much you pay for. But it's delicious and I definitely recommend to explore second market in Taichung if you're visiting ~

For the egg noodles, don't forget to mix it with the red bottles sauce and vinegar on the table to make it nice. Minced meat ball rice pretty fresh n tasty too.

第一次吃，所以點了各種想吃的菜單，肉燥丸子飯，意麵+雞捲，梅花肉飯，綜合湯，餛飩湯。梅花肉的厚薄很適中，女兒好愛吃，肉燥很香，味道很棒，肉丸子好好吃，雞捲不會太油，意麵拿回家加東泉辣椒醬更添加風味，湯頭很清甜，很想再多喝一碗，但已買回家無法再加。希望還沒吃過的人可以吃看看唷!

或許是運氣比較不好
雖然趕上點到梅花肉飯
但飯比同一天其他2家來說很不佳 (偏乾硬）
肉燥說真的也蠻家常的
最大的優點可能是有冷氣XD

Their meat sauce meatball rice was excellent whereas the meat sauce sliced pork rice was just good. The meat sauce and the meat balls really stood out.

This was the best meat sauce associated rice I had all morning, in hindsight. The next two stops in Taichung Second Market were complete disasters, which goes to show not everyone can competently make a meat sauce rice.

Minced pork rice and noodle store with friendly staff who are very patient and give clear directions on how to give your order. You order your food first, then get assigned a seat at the store or their seating area two units down. I would highly recommend their soup too!
