National Museum of Taiwan Literature / 國立臺灣文學館

I’ve visited this museum twice, and enjoyed both visits. The building is huge but you can see all the exhibits in one hour, two hours at most. There is a permanent exhibition which expires the general history of Taiwanese literature until the modern day (the exhibit is in Chinese and English, as partially Japanese too) as well as a temporary exhibit about a special topic (once it was about the detective genre, another time about banned books). This temporary exhibition is generally only in Chinese, but as the staff is very obliging and polite, and some can speak English, I imagine you could ask for some help.

The museum is peaceful, and has a large, cool seating area that is popular with local elderly people to just take a relaxing break from the city.

The building built during the Japanese colonial period still remains and is a valuable building. The brick literature museum still retains the appearance of 100 years ago.
Well, it might be difficult to enjoy it purely if you don't understand Chinese.

Such an awesome place, wonderful to read about the different histories of literature in Taiwan and appreciate the struggle that they’ve gone through for their cultural freedom. Wonderful study area, and amazing kids as well. Highly recommend if you’ve got kids if you want to learn about Taiwan, definitely recommend a trip to Tainan to visit.

內容豐富，動線清楚流暢，建築很美！
非常喜歡，最令我感到驚豔的是展覽中結合科技的互動裝置，無論是白話文的明信片、名作家詩作改寫、未來出版社等，都讓我玩得很開心，也藉由這些互動更認識台灣文學
對於喜歡文學的人來說，對這些豐富有趣的內容完全沒有抵抗力啊！
不同於課本上枯燥的內容，台灣文學館賦予了台灣本土的作家和文學新生命，鮮活有趣～

館內乾淨且溫度適宜 ，這次去剛好有關於二戰的展覽 ，展出安妮一家的故事
十分詳細在場景的佈置上別有用心 ，還有關於慰安婦的議題 ，導覽與解說詳細且客觀 ，值得想一究歷史的與想免費吹冷氣的人去參觀

十年來這次是三訪，以前是台南州廳在日治時期的時候，管轄區域包含雲嘉南地區，建立與A D 1916年，晶晶作為空軍供應司令部，也曾經是台南市政府，從2003年期台灣文學館在這裡開館。紅色磚牆跟巨大的石柱有非常典雅的特色，有長塞長根不定期特展，還有兒童文學書房，還有許多研習課程，豐富的藝文活動。

The Taiwan Literature Museum used to be the Tainan State Hall in the era of the Japanese rule. The architectural personality is of the Massa style. It was made of brick, stone in stone-washing style. The gable and porch are the main entrances of the building, and there are guard towers on both sides. The architectural aesthetics of classical balance was the official architectural feature of that time.

After the completion of the building in 1916, which was the same as the Taipei Supervisory Yuan, it was occupied by the Air Combat Supply Command Department after World War II and then used as the Tainan Municipal Government. It has not been used and repaired by different units and different during the past periods of use.

A great city, to be able to stay, can accumulate the taste and culture of the guests. When literature becomes a great extension for the public, showing the confidence of the citizens can make the city more beautiful and touching.

台灣文學館為日治時代的台南州廳，建築個性屬馬薩式樣，以磚造、石材和洗石子為表現手法，正面有山牆與門廊為建築物之主要入口，兩側有衛塔，具有古典平衡之建築美學，是當時官式建築特色。

這棟與台北監察院一樣的建築1916落成後，二戰後曾佔用為空戰供應司令部、再為台南市政府所用。其經歷不同單位與不同時期使用並未善用與維修，只能說年久失修而毀損。

重新整修開放，文學館座落在這百年建築，相得益彰。號稱我國第一座國家級的文學博物館，對文化來說具蒐藏、保存、研究的功能；對民眾而言以透過展覽、活動、推廣教育等方式，使文學親近民眾，帶動文化發展，所以設有文學圖書閱覽區、兒童文學書房等空間，提供多元化服務。

來台南，建議大家可以來走一走，感受百年建築的篳路藍縷，也看一下文化部的努力。結合附近天文台、天壇、消防局、林百貨、孔廟、武德殿，算是不錯的一個旅遊。

國立臺灣文學館~富有歷史的巴洛克風格建築，外觀好美，內部空間的規劃設計也饒富時空故事性，此次前往巧遇展示葉石濤文學展。在台南出生的本土文學家葉石濤先生是位台灣本土文學的重要文學家。葉石濤先生在台南居住體驗生活、品味人生曾說過這樣的話……「這是個適合人們做夢、幹活、戀愛、結婚，悠然過日子的好地方。」 美吧！在1F空間活動空間，還安排葉石濤文學作品“鸚鵡和豎琴“與由洪綺鎂團長引領的《蒙納米豎琴樂團》共同以音樂與文學故事串聯出一連串的驚奇與知性、感性。好感動、心好沉……。感謝有這文學館，保持與它的互動，參與它這世紀的風華。

之前的台南市政府，在市政府搬到現址後重新活化，原本的官舍變得更容易親近，更讓人感嘆當初日本人在台南留下的這些建築讓這個城市有了這麼不同的風貌。館內的展覽時常都有在更新，每次來都很有新鮮感。搭配臨近的美術館跟古蹟，極適合來個半天遊。

It's a beautiful Victorian style building located on one side of a circle. You can read so many kinds of literature in Taiwan. The exhibition is good, too. It's about transitional justice to aboriginals. It's not a common issue for me, so i can learn much from it.

大都會區裡鬧中取靜的一個好地方, 而文學如同音樂與藝術創作, 皆為精神食糧!
文學館旁的美術館1館, (原臺南市警察局) 已於2018年10月20日開始營運, 對藝術創作有興趣者可前往參觀!
