Alchemy Speakeasy Bar Taipei

One of the most unique interiors I have seen in a bar with an equally interesting house cocktail list. The bartenders are very friendly and speak both English and Chinese so it is also foreigner friendly. The only caveat is that the entrance is not super clear (to get there you have to enter another bar named MQ then take the first stairs on the right to the second floor to find it)

Bar氣氛氛圍很好，當天一群人每人兩杯 每一杯都非常好喝 酒感重但沒有酒精味 很厲害 真的沒有一杯雷的，都非常好喝份量也夠
調酒價位落在400-450之間，地點位置超好又在101對面超讚！絕對會再回訪的愛店️

很低調的酒吧 你必須要先進入M Q bar, 再往2樓走。 想辦法進來。

裝潢非常英式風格 我喜歡

經典調酒全部似乎他自己發明的？ 東西有點奇怪，所以扣一顆心。

或許我以前還年輕第一次來到Alchemy覺得這裡真的太棒太特別
然而數年後會來到這裡只覺得有些東西變了
尤其是酒 感覺有些酒變得有點太一般
搭配上比外面的bar再貴上2-3程的價格
或許未來來此店的機會會變少吧

糟糕透頂的一次體驗⋯⋯先不論調酒口味，服務絕對需要加強⋯

當天跟朋友四個人拆開兩桌坐，從頭到尾沒有人招待及介紹，最誇張的是身為一家酒吧竟然可以講錯基酒⋯！

服務生A來問酒的口味如何，因為我覺得酒有個很強烈的味道，因此特別詢問基酒是什麼，結果對方說要回去問問？？？？（那幹嘛來關心我們 笑死）
服務生A確認回來後說是橙花跟琴酒（但味道真的很不像琴酒）

因為真的太不像，導致我太困惑，所以又抓了一位服務生B詢問
結果對方說是威士忌加白蘭地（？？？？？）

綜合以上來說服務真的很差⋯⋯
危機處理只有一直跑來問「請問是哪位服務生跟你們說的？」
我們不是要抓戰犯欸⋯？？

原本沒要喝的，但因為朋友的朋友遲到太久，擔心位子被取消所以先陪朋友進去等。很特別開在別的酒霸樓上，所以一開始找不到店家，甚至到了二樓還找不到門太糗了！進來之後整體感覺舒適，也不是放大聲音樂的那種，後來就陪朋友留下來喝了，有點到喜歡的調酒，下次有朋友想小酌的話，會推薦友人來這裡！

整體服務素質以及裝潢氛圍完全值得五顆星
但以正常的Old Fashion來說量過少喝起來有點空虛，因此非常可惜的扣了一顆星

還會蹲下來輕聲問候酒的味道如何
不喜歡可以幫忙再調過
相較一樓MQ的夜店氣氛
這邊比較適合商業洽談
或是老友相聚想要好好聊天敘舊

來這邊倒是大推他們特色調酒
這次有點到Miso tini（But忘記拍照）很酷的味噌風味調酒，喝起來酸甜當中尾韻竟有味噌的點綴，令人難以忘懷
還有一款茶香的酒（如圖但這杯是請Bartender特調）非常順口不乾澀，茶香充斥鼻腔，搭配著書牆的景色，讓我感覺好像置身於書香世界中品茶，這般的舒服

台灣第一間引進隱密風格的酒吧，從ㄧ道可移動的書櫃機關進來，體驗與日常生活迥異的復古懷舊風情。對於初次造訪的朋友，若還在考慮該喝什麼調酒，那專業的調酒師將依據你的喜好量身設計適合你的調酒，調對你的口味。

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience: the staff received me poorly and with a wrong attitude, especially this guy Edison (probably the bar manager) I went to the bar because my friend was singing there that night and I was expecting relaxing, lovely and exclusive ambience BUT it turned out to be the worst night for me.
I won’t go back and I’m not recommending you go either.

慕名而來，一個人訂位到週六九點半的位置，喝到23: 40。
對特調有興趣，於是跟調酒師講喜歡的classic調酒，由店方推薦。
喝第一杯Masu Punch印象最深，紫蘇浸泡的homemade gin香氣馥郁，金屬酒杯置入日本酒枡，酸甜清爽但酒感也夠勁。
還點了Negroni跟Manhattan為基礎的店家特調，放置火烤的薰衣草、龍眼，木本焦香讓味覺隨時保持最佳，酒的口感一直不膩。不小心就喝很多。
最後一杯疑似味噌湯的是純好奇，口味滿複雜的，覺得比較甜。
很好喝，如果有機會再來信義區過夜必再訪。但希望別再問我為何一個人來喝了，不歡迎單身客人可以直接說的。

The space reminds you of winter. The fries with truffle mayo and chicken tender were really good.

The cocktail I had had strong wood tasting notes. The alcohol could have been more complex but it was still a nice drink.

Really friendly service. Overall good experience.

想吃東西嗎？請主動要噢！這邊不主動提供菜單只給酒單喔！在ＭQ裡面的Speakeasy，非常隱密而且沒有訂位基本上很難進去！另外這邊的服務生和調酒師都很帥很正，調酒師Victor跟Ariel的專業和新穎的自製酒，讓你在這邊嚐到前所未有的味道。

This place is a speakeasy in another bar, MQ Taipei. They have lots of handsome servers and the bartenders, Victor and Ariel, are very professional. They made rum by themselves and the taste is very special. BTW, you can just ask for food if you want to eat something. Cuz they won’t give you the menu voluntarily.

Pros: Creative, tasty and beautifully presented cocktails; amazing live music available on certain days. Cozy, speakeasy vibe.

Cons: Takes forever to get drinks; pricey - can get prompter service for the same quality drinks elsewhere. And the interior is very dark - walking to the bathroom is like entering the abyss.

Very good cocktails and great atmosphere. The bartenders definitely know how to mix good drinks. Strongly recommend!

Speakeasy and cool doesn’t even belong in the same sentence as Alchemy. First there’s a damp smell in the air, the staff don’t know nothing about having a conversation when you speak English, a rather slim choice on Gin and Whisky for a bar like this, drinks are made well though.but I don’t think we’ll be back, there are plenty of good bars around.

Great bar and nice atmosphere. Bartenders are nice and friendly. Not a loud place so you can enjoy conversations with class.

Really cozy upclose bar that facilitates conversations. If you wanna have a relaxed feel with a small group or your partner this is it. I got the feel of an old town Japanese speakeasy bar (made to look European).

Strong drinks and concoctions that excite the senses. Loved Smokey drinks.
