amba Taipei Songshan 台北松山意舍酒店

We stayed at the amba in Songshan for our several night visit to Taipei and really liked it. The hotel can be slightly hard to find the first time, but that's just because it occupies the 17th-21st floors of the building it's in, and the lobby/check in is on the 17th floor. The location is conveniently located very close to the Songshan station on the green line MRT, and during business hours you can even use the skybridge so you don't even have to go to street level to get to the station. There is a lot of food nearby and it is just a few blocks from Raohe night market.

The check in was easy, and our medium king river view room was spacious and well laid out. Everything was clean, the bed was comfy, and the view is beautiful. The shower gets hot quickly and has good water pressure. I wish the toilet had a bidet, which is common in Taiwan in my experience, but oh well. My only complaints are that the internet is a bit slow, and there is not much soundproofing through the door so you hear any noise in the hallways. However, since the hotel is so high up in the building, you don't hear much road noise which is good.
One major convenience in this hotel is that they have complimentary laundry/drying machines on the 18th floor for you to use. They provide laundry detergent and liquid fabric softener. This is really helpful for longer trips and we really appreciated it.
Staff here are really nice and helpful. We didn't ever go to the restaurant in the hotel and didn't buy the hotel breakfast, so can't comment on that.

The room is large enough and my room faces directly to Songshan Railway Station commercial building, but still can view Taipei 101 on the left hand side from the windows.

It is settled up inside a commercial building at the upper level and has a good view at the lobby, breakfast restaurant, and room either face to Taipei 101 or opposite side of the river view.

Walk distance is just 10 minutes walk distance away from Songshan MRT so it is OK to take with large luggage.

The room is nice and big, but there isn’t a vent for the toilet and the water pressure is terrible
Doesn’t recommended to stay if you get embarrassed by the sounds and the smell when going to the toilet

If you take the Taiwan Railway TRA from Taipei Station instead of the MRT, you can get there in one stop. If you're coming from the airport, the platform is closer, so it's easier to access than looking at a map. Taipei 101 can be seen from the lobby, but reservations are required on January 1st. If you want to see fireworks, I recommend getting a room with a view of 101 or going outside as there is a better view than the lobby.

Modern urban hotel. Friendly upbeat vibe. Color pop decor. Clean spacious in comparison to others we have stayed at in Taiwan. Gym no pool. Self laundry is available to guests. Convenient location near songshan station and mall which are connected by a walkway / skybridge

一進入房間就讓我誇讚不停！房間乾淨明亮景觀佳，方位冷氣設備都超棒的！直到要躺下睡覺的那一刻. 枕頭？躺下去就是平的！一夜未眠！

夜間服務人員真的是可愛的大直男！忘記帶牙刷請老公下樓詢問，給了2支牙刷。要刷牙時才發現裡面沒牙膏，請老公再下樓拿一次！啊照理說……沒帶牙刷的客人應該也不會帶牙膏吧？只能說直男遇到直男，真難！哈 (我們有一趟半夜下樓買麥當勞，他在整理電梯！有夠忙ㄟ！請支援櫃台！)

退房時間也拖挺久的 (剛好遇到團客) ，跑去樓下買杯咖啡再上樓喝完才輪到！覺得應該請支援櫃台！而不是只有一位在忙處理ㄟ！哈囉老闆

喔！對了！别間房我不知道，但我住的這間101有被 (應該是) 微風南山遮到一點，個人是覺得有點可惜！

I thought you're supposed to have complimentary breakfast but no they don't and charged an alien-priced 450 for unnecessary breakfast. That's Taiwan, not Hollywood boulevard. No thanks. Otherwise overall it's fine. Btw the room is tinytiny

The amba Taipei songshan 台北松山意舍酒店 is an interesting hotel located near the song Shan station. The connecting bridge form the song Shan station makes it an easy access from the station, merely a worry free 3 min walk from the station even on the rainy day. The only drawback is the connecting bridge will close after the normally shopping mall operating hour, catching the last train may not be the best case. Besides this little drawback, the bridge itself is beautiful, very nice architecture.

The hotel located on the high floor giving great view including 101 tower, the Taipei city, the river, the airport, etc. The room itself is spacious and bright having great natural lighting. The coffee machine is nice making the morning in the room an enjoyable one. The in room entertainment is ok, having good tv channel including sports, lifestyle, cooking. No bad to spend a day in the hotel.

The breakfast is nice, with good selection of western food and Chinese food, ranging from salad, sausage, beacon, eggs in various form to congee, noodle, and local food like soy bean milk with rice dumping. Nice selection.

All in all, it is a nice stay. Nice hotel and nice staff.

生日來入住意舍酒店，房間佈置了「生日快樂」冰箱提供了蛋糕（可能我們太晚回房所以直接放冰箱？）
浴室花灑很夠力、水溫穩定，備品是薑心比心，不喜歡薑的人可能要自己帶吧⋯⋯
交通很方便，在松山車站的共構大樓，可以走空橋過去，房間很可愛！
早餐很好吃，雖然不大但很用心有特色！可以推薦

Loved Amba’s decor ️ high ceilings, interesting light fixtures, cute posters, and lovely view of the city! The gym is a bit small and muggy inside so we ended up not using the equipment.

早餐真的非常的豐富，咖啡好喝、從早餐的食材準備就能看到的出他們的用心，旅店超乾淨，現場比網上照片來的更美，旅行那麼多國家，這是一家我覺得真正與國外旅店一樣用心的旅店，旅店四處都是景觀，住了一晚身心靈徹底得到放鬆。

Great food. Wonderful rooms. Provides very fast internet with your own deeicated access point inside the room. Offers an incredible view of Taipei, too!

The hotel is located just opposite Songshan station, and you can easily walk to wufenpu and Raohe Night Market! The hotel has a very modern and comfortable concept

純粹就餐廳方面，給五顆星。不過餐點不是一般台式自助餐習慣的大魚大肉，口味偏清淡外，各種沙拉也佔相當比例。濃湯與麵包還不錯，奇妙的是濃湯有時特別好，不曉得為什麼。建議用餐時坐靠窗的位置，可見飛機起落。

價錢有點小貴，但是面向101的view無價
且地點就在松山車站/CityLink松山店樓上，有台鐵、捷運、公車站交通很方便
也有免費的洗衣機、烘衣機、健身房
備品也都是台灣品牌

A beautiful hotel, and very accommodating for English speakers. The restaurant is gourmet with very friendly staff. Overall a lovely experience.

Check in 時員工很友善及提供不同的選擇。當通知睡床有蝨，翌日立即全房清理。 隨後六個晚上都冇事。員工的英文水準很好。 這間酒店 有天橋直達臺鐵松山火車站，乘坐臺鐵往其他地方如基隆、宜蘭、新竹……很方便。 從臺鐵松山火車站經地下步行街可通往捷運松山站。如不在酒店吃早餐，附近只有西式早餐。早上11時後直到晚上，附近有很多不同類型的餐廳可供選擇。酒店距離賣時裝嘅五分埔 及 曉河夜市 很近。

Comfy room with great service by the staff and managers. Good location with easy access to the shopping mall and near to the night market.
