Lived up to my expectations!
A must visit for all cocktail lovers, it's open menu btw.

Really great bar service. I Don't do sugar or juice but the bartender was able to make me a really tasty "mojito" that was completely sugar-free. Sat at the bar and it was easy to chat with other people and make new friends. 10 out of 10 for service, 10 out of 10 for atmosphere.

I've been brought here from a friend, excellent drinks and very nice people. It's english-friendly and you can find people from all over the world. Had one of the best nights in Taipei here, I surely recommend.
P.s. Everyone there was open to chat, owner included.

Lovely speakeasy with very enthusiastic bartenders.the shop front was so misleading as you cant hear the music along the streets at all.may not be easy to find but just ask the dude sitting by the door.enjoyed the “no menu” setup:)

Short: nice snack options (few options but still great quality). Come here for the amazing drinks made by knowledgeable well-travelled bartenders within the calm and comfy speakeasy atmosphere.

Long:

One of the best speakeasies for english speaking expats to feel the calm soothing comfort of a dim-lit room, kind bartender service, soft-spoken jazz and high quality cocktails made specifically to your tastes.

Chinese locals should definitely come as well, either for a comfortable noise-free drink space with your friends/date, or to explore quality cocktails in an atmosphere parallel to wonderful speakeasies around the world (it helps to speak english, but there is also Chinese speaking staff too so no worries).

Best to come before 9pm if you want absolute peace and quiet and a guaranteed seat. Past 9, the crowds start arriving.

The bartenders make you what you want (no menu), and will make sure what you get is what you desire. If it isn’t, they will insist on remaking the drink for you, free of charge.

Ash, one of the bar managers, was a kind man from France who has traveled around the world and speaks great English. I had the privilege to have a nice conversation with him about random things of life on an early weekday night.

His kind service made me feel like I was back home, celebrating winter as i drank the hot spiked cider I ordered. And his knowledge of the drink is worth the price they ask. Learned a few new cocktails to add to my personal list of must drink again thanks to him.

Out of all the bars i’ve been to in Taiwan, this would be the one i would visit again if i had only one more chance to drink for the holidays.

And if health and time permits, I will be coming here again.

A gem in a big city

On the outside it looks like a small shop. But when you push that door, you entered a neat and cozy bar. The most impressive part of this bar is that it's menu free. You describe what you like, the taste, or style, and the bartender makes the drink for you! It's like impromptu drinks that tailors to the client.

We said we want something strong, refreshing, and spicy. Soon a drink came that's exactly that. This drink tastes refreshing but it's actually pretty strong. For the spicy part, the bartender added siracha. I thought it'd be heavy but it actually tasted super light and smooth.

Our second drink, we got a belini and mojito combination style. However, I found it too sweet. Our delightful bartender insisted that he'll make a new drink because they like to ensure every drink meets the expectation of the guest.

In short, I love this super friendly bar. I felt an instant bond with the bartender and I know I'd be coming back for more speakeasy therapy.

From the moment you find the entrance it's an experience. From describing your taste preference, and the knowledge of the staff, they will serve you drink that fits your palate or mood.

Let me explain my first sip of the drink. OMG is just presentation. Placed on the table you touch the thin posh glass with your fingers which easily makes it to your mouth; your senses start exploding with pleasure. First your nose is filled with the aromas from the descriptive flavors left in the waiters care, then your lips touch the glass that start to fill your palate, teasing the taste buds. Finally, in a rage of euphoria you tip the posh glass that wafts the aromas that satisfy and fill the taste buds with surprise, delight, wonder and a bit of relief into your mouth and go, "mmmmmm. " Involuntarily loud enough to be inappropriate.

That first sip is the beginning of my story how I excessively drank responsibility with delicious, aromatic, taste bud pleasing cocktails based on the expert hands of the wait and bar staff.

經典調酒為主，但每種都可以twist。強烈建議要先學點英文再來，至少想要的基酒、一些喜歡的水果跟花等等，因為bartender 幾乎不會講中文。更進階一點認識利口酒以及各種牌子的基酒英文，溝通起來更方便，得到的調酒會更好喝。
經典調酒的風味都非常準，可以跟MORE莫忘初衷一較高下，本日twist daiquiri 以aged rum and passion fruit 變化，風味強烈飽滿，rum的甜香也有適當發揮，值得再訪

很像現在流行的那種隱藏式酒吧
真的不注意就會立刻經過走過去那樣哈哈

然後發現裡面真的比照片還要暗超多！
可能就是停電的話也可以繼續營業的店
有點夜盲症的朋友們請注意
點菜單真的要開手電筒不然我看不到
不過這地方真的蠻適合約會的情侶 因為超暗

酒的部分是無菜單所以可以大概跟店員說喜歡什麼口感

剛開始覺得調酒一杯蠻貴的應該也就那樣
結果沒想到小小一杯超濃烈
但是那個濃烈感不是不舒服的那種

點了雞翅跟薯條
雞翅我覺得真的很普通
但是薯條非常好吃！！！

整體來說就是一個適合和朋友或戀人放鬆的地方
而且妝都花掉應該也不會被發現

Hands down the best bar in Taipei.

當我想到去酒吧，第一個從腦海跳出來的一定是Ounce，雖然因為是熟人開的所以有些偏愛，但他的優秀真的是毋庸置疑～

調酒方面，並無固定的酒單，走得是客製化路線，雖然這樣有些微風險，然而其表現通常都還滿不錯至優秀，經典酒款方面則當然表現良好，層次感也都分明，讓人能享受手中那杯調酒，感受冰塊融化時又帶來另一種口感～

食物方面選擇不多，走的是下酒小食路線，非常好的策略，畢竟其定位是酒吧而非餐酒館，不必多樣化而反而沒做好～先跟大家說炸薯條跟雞翅就是讚，點就對了不用懷疑，絕佳下酒！

最後是氛圍面， Ounce是Speak easy，因此首先是那神秘感，但當人多起來時，相較小的空間呈現的是熱絡，再加上服務員與bar tender 都非常熱情也會送shots，為體驗上再畫龍點睛！

Ounce 能在台北生存這麼久是有原因的，特別是在信義安和這一級戰區中，儘管不再是Asia Top 50, but it’s always Timmy’s Taipei Top 3 ;)

This is far from a Speakeasy bar. The drink are good, the music are too bad, too upbeat. The service is nice. But the place has so much potentials and the management clearly isn't styled up for it.

The first time I came here was 2 years ago. Throughout these two years, the atmosphere remains really cozy and the bartenders are super friendly! Plus, the cocktails are good! Highly recommended!

Great drinks, lovely staff and excellent music. What else can one ask? I have deleted my old 3 star review as the bar now has a new bar manager and after revisiting I’ve decided that the service and the drinks deserve 5 stars. The bar is still cosy and comfortable too- Well done Ounce!

Excellent no menu cocktail selections, small cozy sitting area and fully packed in weekend night. The servers provide outstanding recommendations for the cocktails per customers’ taste!

但不知道為什麼在現場有中文服務生的情況下，會是由外國服務生用英文接待台灣客人？覺得至少應該要先問一下客人用英文方不方便，而不是一開始直接預設客人會講英文，點到中間卡住才詢問換中文會不會比較好，畢竟個人這幾次來還是看到蠻多來消費的是台灣人，覺得這樣其實不是很妥當甚至有點傻眼，更別說在溝通flavor上會產生的障礙。

無酒單的speakeasy bar！昏暗的氣氛很適合約會或和閨蜜來喝杯調酒聊聊心事。
這次和朋友喝的四杯都非常喜歡，朋友還指定下次來台北玩一定要再來！
服務生跟Bartender都非常親切，是一個讓人很放鬆的酒吧，自己一個人想要小酌也很可以
