Our guide Joanna, came to our hotel in Taipei and took us to Alishan using high speed rail and private van for overnight tour. All aspects of the tour was fun and relaxing. Topology's use of local driver and guides let us enjoy the local culture, especially foods. This is the 2nd time I have used Topology and Joanna was our guide both times. They do an excellent job to make the touring special and customized.

My daughter and I recently traveled to Taiwan. As our time was limited (12 days), we chose to engage Topology Travel to help us develop an itinerary and to make in-country travel arrangements that would allow us to see and experience life on Taiwan, both the everyday and the touristic, at close range.
We had a general idea of what we wanted to see and some specific requirements in terms of where we wanted to go. Our interaction with the travel advisor at Topology, Vivi Guo, both in preparation for and during the course of our travel around the island, was both helpful and uncomplicated. All of our requirements and requests were responded to promptly and appropriately. We were met at the airport and driven to our hotel in Taipei. The following morning, we left the hotel with the guide with whom we spent most of the following two weeks. The guide, Clint Liang, was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, experienced, and helpful. He was proficient in English and in many instances went well beyond the requirements of his job to ensure that our experience was positive. We circumnavigated the island, visited cities and villages, drove through mountains and along the eastern coastal route, stopped frequently at places of interest, and hiked and climbed to seldom-visited temples and pagodas.
The hotels and guest houses in which we stayed were invariably clean, pleasant, and comfortable. We hoped to avoid large, popular establishments, both for meals and lodging, and our guide was knowledgeable in helping us to do this. Our experience was what we had hoped it would be; the staff of Topology had understood our intentions and responded positively. I would recommend Topology Travel without reservation.

We hired Topology for our customised group tour. Much of the success of our trip from 14-22 Apr 2018 comes from the passion and professionalism of the team at Topology. We had many requests at the beginning and made some changes along the way but they remained calm, cheerful and highly competent in accommodating our varied needs. No request was too small or too big or too tough for our Guide Fred Zhang. He was a great story teller and we enjoyed his commentary on the long rides. The Driver Mr Liao was very thoughtful and attentive to all our needs.
Our group was very happy with their service and would highly recommend their services to other groups looking for customised tour. They may cost more but we felt they have met our high expectations and delivered the value promised - so it is all worth it in the end. "

We had a wonderful time and our guide was excellent. I would give a 5 rating but there were language communication issues that made understanding a bit difficult at times. Other than that, it was great!

Never and ever experienced such "Truly" and "Sincerely" tour in a country, but we met the one in Taiwan-Topology Travel. I can't forget the camping tour in Wuling Shan during summer time on June2012, which we can experince likes the majority local tawainese which they love to picnic during that time at this wonderful place. Wuling tour still the most memorable time in my life after so many years because I won't feel like a "tourist", but more likely a local in Taiwan. Peter and Jenny was the best tour planner that I never met in others country trip and the most fun part is when we played badminton and sharing Taiwan & Malaysia "ghost story" under starry night. Even though Taiwan is small, but everytime I "back" to this second home, I still can explore lots of story during the journey. Thanks to Topology Travel for let me falling in love to Taiwan and I am really highly recommend it if you really wanna see the True and Locally Taiwan. Cheers.

I was deciding between a tour agency in my home country vs. Topology which was a local Taiwan agency. At first I was worried about the language barrier but I was pleasantly surprised by their standard of English. Their in-depth local knowledge shone through from start to end - from itinerary design to the actual private tour. Through it all, they also paid close attention to our needs and preferences.

I recently planned a ""back to our roots"" trip to Taiwan for my brother's and my Taiwanese American families. My parents, who would have been the ""glue"" with our Taiwan relatives, were unable to join. So I set about looking for a tour company which would best fit our needs and work with me in the planning (in English) and understand our American expectations and perspectives. Topology fit the bill wonderfully. Our tour consultant Core was highly responsive, proposed an interesting and engaging itinerary for the adults and kids (aged 8,10,12, and 16), answered all of our varied questions and helped us prep for the trip. We decided on a private custom tour hitting destinations in the northern half of Taiwan and concluding with a day in Hsinchu where my family is from, where we hosted a banquet with extended family members. For half the tour, there were 8 of us, then for the 2nd half, there were 12 of us (4 TW relatives joined in). The planning was all by email and very straightforward.

When we arrived for our trip, our tour guide, Vicky was a perfect fit for us. She speaks Taiwanese, English, and Mandarin. This proved invaluable as the 4 Taiwan relatives (aged 60's-70's) who joined us for part of our multigenerational tour did not all speak English, we speak a little Mandarin, and some of us speak Taiwanese (although not well), so Vicky really helped to bridge any gaps. Vicky was super prepared and always had a wet wipe handy, insect repellent, and had a first aid kit when my son fell and scratched his knees up bike riding. She was a wealth of information, describing significant facts and history about the various locations that we travelled to during the tour. She also had helpful advice about modern customs and practices and answered any questions that came up. She arranged for a surprise birthday cake for my husband as his birthday fell on one of the days we were touring around. She really went above and beyond for us. By the end of our trip, Vicky was like a member of our family, and helped MC our family reunion banquet where I addressed the group in English and Vicky translated for the audience in Mandarin.

The Taiwan relatives had never done the activities that we did on the tour, and the activities gave us an opportunity to interact with them and spend time together and get to know them better, despite the language challenges. The private tour bus with driver was a much needed air conditioned respite/base for us as we toured around in the August heat, and also allowed our relatives to hop on and drive around with us the day that we spent in Hsinchu visiting family sites of historic importance.

There were last minute itinerary changes due to the heavy rain when we were at Sun Moon Lake. The alternate activities were quite well received and everyone fully enjoyed the Hakka tea making experience. The best part was being able to ask Vicky about hu jiao bing and spontaneously stopping at the best vendor in Taipei minutes later and eating a hot one! My husband and brother were both really impressed!

Overall, I can't say enough good things about our trip planning or the execution. By doing all the planning up front, it really took the pressure off of me and I could really relax and enjoy the trip knowing that Topology and our guide had all the details under control. We will definitely reach out to Topology and Vicky for our next trip to Taiwan!

My dad is now 80 years of age, and I wish to let him have a memorable trip in Taiwan. So, the trip was designed and executed by our experienced guide Mr. Lee of Taipei, who was so dutiful by driving us all the way from Taipei to the southern tip city Kaoshiung, visiting those popular tourist sites in the western part of Taiwan, and then back to Taipei for our homeward bound journey.

Of course, we were posted to lodge in the home stays along the journey. One particular attraction was in Kaoshiung, where we were put to a home stay in the 85 storey Tower for a night. We were welcome by the hostess who had personally led us to our room in the 18th floor, and briefed us about the setup of the lift facility, in which users had to change for another one at every 12th storeys. She also told us to leave the key on the table when moving out. So simple. Our room was spacious, and the surrounding including the bathroom was clean and deserved for credit. The design in the room was rich in Japanese culture, as it did frequent by many guests from Japan. One amazing sight was, the room was installed next to the dropped glass window overlooking the Kaoshiung harbour. Late in the afternoon, we could witness the activities around the harbour area; a number of vessels were waiting to dock, one after the other was moaring into the harbour. At sunset, we were fortunate to watch the twilight over showering in the skyline, very worthy for the time past; when lights on, we also see the tourist train with passengers on board was travelling from the old wharf compound and rounding the neighbouring stations then back to the base. When I come back to my home town, I was still overwhelmed by those vivid memories, and I am therefore not hesitating to recommend this discovery to your readers who have same interests.

I was amaze with the service standard Ms Joanne provided during my 10 days private tour. Caring to our needs and more than once went extra miles to look for what we were looking for. Small matter like looking for a special design magnet she take it serious. She even surprise us with an insect spray funded from her pocket. She is just simply impressive. If you are planning for a private or group tour, always request for Joanne, she can give you good advice and most importantly your family/ group will like her at first glance. Friendly and loving but not overly do it. She listen to your request and provides you with her expert advise and plan everything nicely. You basically sit back and enjoy the tour. I will strongly recommend her services. She is definitely an asset to her company too. She can well converse in english and mandarin.

The most "sincere" travel agency I've ever seen. I booked a tour to Jiufen and just expected a regular tour-around, but they offered excellent touring guide, amazing attraction that was hidden from normal tourists (ex. Jin Gua Shi), yummy food (ex.yamball) and most importantly, we made good friend with the tour guide. This my Taiwan tour so special and memorable.

Everything was great with Topology and Nana again. Logan the tour guide was very knowledgeable and responsible. Giving us time for all activities. Thanks for the wonderful arrangement. The cycling trip and the walks were great for the whole family. Great bonding time. The Qingjing stay was so cooling n nice. Never thought we could experience such nice weather in June! Will choose Topology if going Taiwan the next time:)

One of the best things we did in Taipei tour
This was such a special day! We toured the headquarters, then hung out on the street corner and helped sell sweet potatoes. My 10 year old daughter loved it, and I loved seeing how much fun she had interacting with people on the street and selling a record number of sweet potatoes.

One email to their address on the website and pat came a reply! Topology Travel is an excellent tour advisor for any help you need in Taiwan. Our advisor Peter was extremely helpful. We took a 3-day pvt.tour to Northern Coast (Yehliu), Hualien (Taroko) and Taichung (Sun Moon) and we were extremely satisfied with the services. All our cars on all 3 days were clean and spacious and our driver/guides were brilliant. Logan for Northern Coast, Alex for Sun Moon and Allen for Hualien were absolutely warm, helpful & delightful! Any trip to Taiwan, I suggest you go to Topology!

Topology truly organized a bespoke holiday to suit our family. Impressive! The members in our family across three generations but everyone had a memorable time. They even prepared a cake as a surprise to celebrate my father's birthday and our tour guide was like a new friend for our kids! My daughter felt sad when she needed to say goodbye at the end of the trip. We will definitely recommend Topology to our friends who plan to visit Taiwan.

Despite being a frequent traveler to Taiwan, our family of 10 pax got an all-new experience of Taiwan! A 5-star memories foe the entire family indeed! What we love: 1) Fred Chang, our tour guide is patient, accommodating, knowledgeable and a good conversationalist covering wide range of topics. He adjusts the food choices according to his observations of our likes/dislikes and rearranges sites to visit according to updates on weather condition. 2) Driver, Mr. Chen, maintains safe speed, helpful with luggages and keeps the bus clean always. 3) The hotel/BnB selected always provides excellent view and warm hospitality from hosts. 4) Nana the point person is prompt and helpful in answering queries. Again, one of the best arranged tour I have experienced!
