The Community Services Center - Taipei reviews
10Join the French cooking class today, fun and well organised. Very suitable for people who newly moved or worked in Taiwan. And they have many interesting activities. Great classes!
This is a place for expats in Taiwan, and their spouses, partners, dependents, etc. You can call or proceed to the community center and arrange for counseling sessions. The main languages spoken would be English and Chinese, although I am certain that there are at least one, if not two, Spanish speaking counselors at this time.
I haven't experienced any counseling sessions but there are other activities, discussions, and auctions that expats can participate in.
Call or visit to check this place out.
Enjoyed the Taiwanese traditional cooking course. Center also arranges excursions and language courses
Counseling services in English, classes to introduce people to Taipei culture and sites and to engage in various community activities. Very much worth a visit to get yourself oriented to the community and those active in it.
Love coming here for counseling, a roster of exceptional therapists most whom all gotten their training abroad from legit institutions. Highly recommended.
Good place to familiarize with the elder white-collar foreign workers in Taiwan.
Mostly because of the price of the activities, so this place targets a very specific demographic.
Lots of different activities to join throughout the year though:)
This place offer many services. This comment is for the survival Chinese class with the teacher Gloria. If you are looking for an easy way to get to learn mandarin without the goal of becoming fluent but instead trying to get by on your day to day actions, this is the perfect class which is also priced pretty well compare to other options such as cram schools or private tutoring. I took survival Chinese level I and level II so far and our class where less than 3 students each time which might have been an exception for the center due to COVID restricting foreigner to come to Taiwan. That being said the teacher is really easy and always ha e a lot of stories and cultural references to the material which I do appreciate.
Last visit to Taipei I stayed in a hostel. Down the street was a community center I enjoyed going to weekly. Then I found a art teacher, and ping pong club. New buffet and travel services club to volunteer at. Look for these places if you decide to check out by the isle.
Wonderful center with friendly, helpful staff who offer a wide range of services, activities, and events for the foreign community.
