Great place to stay if you plan to enjoy Taipei! Da an district is the area to be for all things here! Situated centrally in one of the best areas and just minutes walk from the metro station, Howard hotel has the perfect location, awesome service, and the most unforgettable breakfast buffet that we came back here second year in a row! Every time! 5-star service from every staff here including John Huang and ladies and gentleman down on the ground floor. Service here reminds me of old-school standard of providing accommodating service like no other. Highly recommend!

The Howard Plaza Hotel in 2023 is old, tired, worn-out, and coasting on its reputation. Its biggest saving grace is its food, with expansive breakfast buffets that offer both quantity and quality. The quality of service is inconsistent, however; one of the staff in the 4th floor breakfast buffet has a penchant for going on a power trip and making you feel extremetly unwelcome, althouhg the majority of the rest of the staff is accommodating and helpful. The location isn't too bad, either; it's walking distance to three MRT lines with access to various additional bus routes.

My parents got married at the Howard Plaza Hotel well over 30 years ago. The furniture still in the guest rooms probably predates their wedding. The shower water is so mineral-laden that I felt less-clean after showering. The room door hinges are so loose that it takes more effort to close the doors than to open them, and it does wonders for making you feel incredibly un-secure about even leaving your belongings in the room.

Would I dine here? Absolutely. Would I choose to stay here again? Nope.

Hotel location is good. A few minutes walk to or from Sogo department store, MTR and bus stations.

Coming from airport, i ride airport train and MTR (take Sogo Exit), and few minutes walk. So problem coming here.

Hotel staff are nice and friendly.

Big lobby space, although I find it too dim, my personal preference so i can't be subjective.

Big dining area, many restaurants choice inside the building and some shopping also.

The room area is above average size, and it's clean. I smell smoke, forget to inform receptionist that I prefer non smoking room. Other than that, everything is good.

Older hotel, but well maintained. Great breakfast buffet and good selection of restaurants if you don't want to go out and eat.

本人習慣使用浴袍 而福華提供的浴袍質地非常好 是一大亮點 不像大部份飯店會有洗久偏硬的不舒服感 反而讓肌膚有很棒的使用者體驗
唯一可惜的是只提供兩個插座 對於新一代的旅遊均有多個隨身3C配備來說 實在不足 也未提供USB插座 希望能趕上時代趨勢
礦泉水只提供兩瓶免費礦泉水 與大多數飯店提供四瓶而言 明顯不足
整體而言 仍是值得推薦的飯店

Wonderful hotel. I was here a couple of years ago, and broke out in hives all over. The concierge was nice enough to take me to the hospital nearby, and helped me check-in (with follow-up a couple of days later to see how I was doing).

This time, thankfully no more hives. Amenities in the rooms are spot-on, and cover all our needs. It really shows how much thought the team at the Howard put into ensuring great guest experiences. Extra kudos to the housekeeping team. They act super fast, and always do a wonderful job replenishing items and tidying up the rooms.

Last but not least, the location is hard to beat. It's walking distance to metro stations and great food.

Howard is for sure my No. 1 pick for hotels in Taipei.

Hotel has nice amenities such as gym and an outdoor pool. The interior if the hotel is clean and staff are always ready to help. Wahsroom has both tub and stand up shower. Highly recommended!

They were very good. The staff was friendly. The hotel was very nicely decorated and it was in a nice area.

This was short business trip of 4 days to Taiwan. Stayed in this Hotel situated mid of the Taipei city. Rooms are fabulous and well maintained. Hotel staff was good and helping. They are good and able to communicate in english.
Hotel has 3-4 restaurants. They offer complimentary breakfast, I used to do american breakfast daily. That was really good and full of variety.
If you do not eat beaf or pork than it is difficult to survive there.
Overall my experience at Howard was fantastic.

Nice ambience despite its age. The buffet is a staple, but try Formosa restaurant at the basement for quality Taiwanese cuisine.

The location of the hotel was very excellent for our intended visit. The conceirge was helpful and their instructions helped us from getting lost. We had an early flight, and they provided a boxed breakfast, in lieu of buffet breakfast, which was very nice. Order that at check-in. Two types of breakfast buffet to choose from. Lots of selection from each - I tried each. Complimentary water is available (specifically labelled) in room which is great for those whose stomach like to argue.

Nice, large and high prestige Hotel, this hotel knows how to make us feel like very important person. I hope I could sleep there again.

Mandy from conceige gave excellent service. Very patient with our questions. And answered diligently. While the receptionist who checked us in on the 8th of October, around 2.30pm was rude and unfriendly. Totally spoiled our holidays and the image of Taiwanese.

Breakfast at Level 2 were good too

Hotel is OK. But the curtains in the room cannot be pulled all the way closed. So if u want to sleep during the day time or when sunlight comes in u can't have a fully dark room for rest…

Spacious room. Good breakfast and options available at different breakfast area. Service of the hotel staff was also good. Accessible to subway and bus lines. In house shopping mall.
The breakfast package for early departure guests are also very good.

台北福華飯店，中庭有一大區的用餐區，這一點我很喜歡，因為對一個外地不熟悉的人來講還要再找一個區域點餐吃飯，是一件很麻煩的事（年輕人除外) 。但是會進福華的人，大部分都是上了中上年紀，才有足夠的能力去消費。另外他的中餐我覺得煮得比晶華還要好，做菜比較用心。採得混搭菜色覺得蠻合口味很好吃

The location of the hotel is ideal for the guests who want to stay in center. Rooms are quite and clean. From reception to housekeeping, all stuff is polite. Two seperate hall for breakfast, lunch and dinner: western and local which is a good detail. It was a good experience.
