Eddie at Boutique Hair

Really bad experience getting my hair cut here. Haven't felt so bad after a haircut ever. I thought being able to have an English speaking hairdresser would help get a good result and thus justify the high price they are charging. However, despite explaining which haircut I would like to have and showing reference pictures to ensure I got the haircut I wanted, I ended up with something else that looked nothing like I showed him. Also, despite me telling him that my hair is curly but after blow-drying will be straight, he did not consider that at all regarding the length at which he cut my hair. The team is nice and once I told him how ugly his haircut made me feel, he also offered to fix the haircut. However, if someone already ruined your hair even though you gave them clear instructions, would you trust them to improve it?
Would not recommend this shop to anyone that wants anything more than a trim.

Had a great haircut with Eddie. Have been travelling SE Asia and my long hair was getting tangled easily and damaged, I explained this all to Eddie who gave me a great haircut, getting rid of all the tangles and recommending a hair treatment to prevent my hair from getting damaged. The head massage I had during the wash was also fantastic. All round fantastic experience.

I came for a colour treatment, which was so beautiful! Eddie’s assistant did such a great job with the colouring of my hair, and such amazing service too.

Unfortunately my haircut from Eddie was very bad I had to go to a new salon to try and fix it! I asked for no layers and he shaped it anyway, but didn’t blend so my hair looked like stairs so sad ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

The price was a little high for what I received, so unfortunately I can’t recommend

This must be the best salon in Taïwan! Eddie and his staff are so nice and welcoming! The shampoo/massage was incredible and I am so happy with my hair now. Worth it! I will come back for sure.

Eddie is a super nice guy and it was super easy to reserve a slot on the same day via WhatsApp. A big plus for me was also that he is fluent in English which made it a lot easier to communicate as a foreigner.

I normally don’t really know what I want as a haircut but he was very professional and knows what to do even with my short and chaotic requests.

It’s a nice cosy atmosphere like you would visit a friend at home while he cuts your hair.

Eddie speaks perfect English and you can message him on WhatsApp or however you please. He does a phenomenal haircut and can also do coloring. He also knows a lot about the area including hotels and restaurants so make sure to ask him for advice!

Eddie was incredible. He talked with me before we began on what I wanted and what he recommended. He matched my color perfectly and the balayage is beautifully done. As someone with fine hair, I have been putting off getting my hair highlighted in Asia because sometime the Salon products are too harsh on my hair. It was my first time here but i’m quite impressed with the whole service. Eddie is a very skilled hairdresser and I’m very satisfied with my hair cut. I had my hair done here twice already. The place is very convenient and easy to find since it's next to Taipei City Hall MRT station. Eddie is very nice and accommodating. He explains everything that he plans to do according to your specifications.

Eddie always manages to do the best for my hair. He understands what it needs in terms of bounce and body. Always listens to my ideas and what I want in terms of color and cut. I've been his client for about 5 years now, and there's no reason to change! Love love love him and what he has done for my hair! Had a lovely time getting my hair cut by Eddie. He’s fluent in English and wonderful to chat with as he explained what he’d be doing with my hair. He gave my hair life and body with layers to bring the most out of my waves in the front and curls in the back. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in Taipei.

Really enjoyed my experience here. Eddie (who speaks flawless English) did a great job cutting and styling my curly hair, and Sharon gave a wonderfully relaxing hairwash/massage. It is clear that both are great at their jobs! The salon itself is clean, quiet and welcoming. I will definitely be making future appointments.

I had a great experience at Eddie at Boutique Hair. Eddie is a great stylist who knew exactly how to approach the cut that I wanted and also made some great suggestions which makes you feel that he is really interested in giving you the most suitable styling for you.

After ten years in Taiwan I've finally got a hair cut I'm happy with. He paid attention to what I wanted and how my waves and curls are while explaining what he was doing. A stark contrast to other places that blow dry my hair straight and create a style that looks good in the chair but becomes a mess when it hits humidity or a shower. It's more expensive than other places but worth it to walk out feeling good. Also, I didn't have a bunch of itchy hairs on my neck and down my shirt afterwards. I mention that because he didn't do the talcum powder brush or vacuum like other places. I just walked out clean. Felt good man.

By far the best place for a hair salon in Taipei for English speaking customers. Eddie took care of my long quarantine hair. Thanks for the beautiful haircut along with personalized hair product recommendations that fit my hair texture.
